Tom Kite is a professional golfer with 19 wins on the PGA Tour, including the 1992 U.S. Open. Kite, along with his colleague and fellow student, Ben Crenshaw, anchored the UT Men’s Golf Team from 1968-1972. However, his mother, Mauryene Kite, knew he was special from day one. She started compiling scrapbooks of Tom’s golf adventures in 1960. These scrapbooks, 25 in total, are outstanding documents of not only a great golfer’s career but also of the community in which he played. The finding aid below provides an inventory of the entire Kite donation. There is no finding aid yet available for the scrapbooks but they may be reviewed upon request.
