Doctors Curtis Jackson (Shorty) and Mary Evelyn Buice Alderson were faculty in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education of the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin from 1939 to 1973. The collection is comprised of materials created and collected by the couple, including Shorty’s diplomas, letters of congratulations for Shorty’s retirement, dance and physical education course materials, and assorted cards and clippings gathered by Mary.
