Ciera Jones

After two decades in a city that outlaws skyscrapers, followed by a five year stint chasing the elusive sage grouse in the midnight landscape of the Oregon Outback and scrutinizing the eating behaviors of obese primates when fed the typical American diet disguised as Kibbles n’ Bits, Ciera, Texas’ prodigal daughter, finds herself orbiting the sun once again at the H.J. Lutcher Stark Center for Physical Culture and Sports. Consumed with the aspiration to further understand migration and diffusion of youth sports, she works to finish her dissertation examining physical and cultural geographic factors influencing youth sport participation.
