Caroline Jones

Processing Archivist

Caroline Jones is originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and came to Austin in 2010. She graduated from St. Edward’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and minor in Religious and Theological Studies in 2014 and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with a Master of Science in Information Studies. Caroline first came to the Stark Center in 2015 for a graduate student class and helped to process “The University of Texas at Austin Athletics Media Relations Men’s Hall of Honor Collection.” That summer she was Exhibit Manager for “The Nazi Olympics: Berlin 1936” traveling exhibit from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. After the exhibit closed, Caroline stayed on as a Graduate Assistant digitizing and creating metadata for the Strength magazine collection.

Caroline is returning to the Stark Center after seven and a half years as a Library Assistant and Reference Archivist at the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. She is excited to process these unique archival collections and make them more accessible to the public so more people will learn about the interesting history of physical culture and sports. And she is happy to be back on UT campus with fellow Longhorns!
