Early pioneer of professional tennis, University of Texas Longhorns Hall of Honor member, and U.S. Davis Cup Coach, Bruce Barnes, published this fun and informative pamphlet to introduce people to tennis. Barnes went undefeated in dual match play his entire career at the University of Texas, dominated singles and doubles play in the Southwest Conference, and was an NCAA Doubles Titleist with Karl Kamrath in 1931, as well as the NCAA Singles Finalist the same year. He was also a contemporary and fellow barnstormer with “Big Bill” Tilden and other tennis greats in the 1930s and 1940s and competed on the professional tennis tour from 1932-1943. This pamphlet includes tips, rules, and instruction of tennis technique from the era.
