Kyle R. Martin is a lifelong Austinite, a third generation Calabrese-American, and a writer extraordinaire. In 2010, he graduated cum laude from Saint Edward’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing & Rhetoric (Creative Focus). He is the author of two full-length plays and has previously published short fiction and essays with a number of magazines and journals. He first arrived at the Stark Center in September 2014 when Terry and Jan Todd hired him as a library assistant. He left in 2018 to start a sole proprietorship–KRM Exhibit Design–and was contracted to work on museum exhibits for the LBJ Presidential Library, the Briscoe Center for American History, and the Stark Center. In January 2020, he returned to the Stark Center as the curatorial associate. His primary fields of work are exhibit design and curation, writing and designing for the Stark Center website, and serving as the technical editor of Iron Game History.
